Twain Middle School students are charged library fines for lost or overdue books. Library fines and obligations are explained to every student at the beginning of the school year during library orientation. Students are notified of library obligations via FCPS e-mail and paper notices through their English class. Once a book has been returned, students have the option to “Read Off Library Fines” during their lunch. For every lunch that they read in the library, $2.50 in library fines will be forgiven.
8th grade students with library obligations will not be able to buy a ticket to the 8th grade dance at the end of the year.
Please ask your student to settle their library account as soon as possible. Library fines may be paid during school hours in the library, or online through myschoolbucks.com.
