Congratulations to our very own Chris Kniesly! Mr. Kniesly was named Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom 2019 Teacher of the Year. (You can learn more about the award here.)

As his team member, colleague, and friend, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact Mr. Kniesly has had on Twain, our students, and our community. Many of his current and former students have developed a passion for agriculture, sustainability, and life science through Chris’ hands on teaching approach. Twain’s 4-H club is now the largest in the county and has gained our school wide recognition and notoriety. Many of Chris’ former students have been awarded fellowships and scholarships due to their involvement and interest and agriculture. None of these things would have been accomplished without the hard work and dedication of our coworker. Please make sure you take a moment to congratulate him, as he definitely deserves the recognition!

From all of us here at Twain, congratulations, Mr. Kniesly!
