Literacy at Twain

Here at Twain, we understand the importance of literacy in classes and for all students. Check out some resources and activities below to see what Literacy looks like at Twain:

  • Sustained Silent Reading: Sustain Silent Reading (SSR) is a way to help students access texts of their choice, build vocabulary, and more. We encourage all students to read for 30 minutes each day, whether at school or at home. Learn more about SSR and gain access to resources by visiting our SSR page.
  • Literacy Site for Kids (You will need to be logged into your FCPS Google Account to view the site.)This is a great resource for students to access a variety of texts and reading resources during Sustained Silent Reading time and at other times.
